Market Drivers:
U.S. - China Trade Dispute
- President Trump and Chinese officials are set to sign the Phase 1 trade deal 
- The deal will involve some tariff relief, increased Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural goods and changes to IP and technology rules
- The U.S. has reserved the right to re‑impose tariffs if it judges China is not abiding by the deal
- U.S. and China have agreed to hold semiannual talks in targeting to resolve disputes and push for reforms

U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls (December)
- Increased 145,000 (+1.4% Y/Y) after rising 256,000 in November
- For 2019, payrolls overall rose on average 176,000/month after a 223,000 monthly average in 2018
- Average hourly earnings edged 0.1% M/M higher following a 0.3% M/M November increase
- Growth during the last 12 months of 2.9% remained below the recent peak of 3.4% logged in February
- The unemployment rate held steady at an expected 3.5% after falling from 3.6% in October

This year, PT Distribusi Voucher Nusantara Tbk (DIVA) remains focused on strengthening the micro, small and medium business sector (MSME). This is in line with the government's target to digitize 8 million MSMEs. DIVA is targeting to attract 38,000 MSME partners by 2020.

The international rating agency Moody's Investors Service upgraded PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk's (MEDC) corporate family rating (CFR) from B1 to B2.

PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) is in the process of collaborating with content service providers, including Netflix. This is done in order to enrich the content that can be accessed through the Telkom network, both Telkomsel and IndiHome.
